What a day! Geez, I am so tired.
It was the first day of lectures for the year today, so of course I overslept. I managed to make it to the busstop on time though. The bus was late. It started to rain. No kidding. Then the bus trip, which was supposed to take 20-25mins (30 tops) took 50 minutes. I got off the bus 10mins after the hour, lectures start at 5 past. I was lucky enough that they hadn't actually started, only were handing out notes. I nearly missed out on a seat. If some guy hadn't realized that he was in the wrong lecture...there were about 12 people sitting on the floor (there is already 422 people in the class). Then they give us the workload. Between class and work, I beginning to wonder if I'll get time to sleep this semester.
And all b4 11am. That isn't even to say about the rest of the day, which improved, but still was no exactly wonderful. I love my life.

Ok today, I was woken up at 5:39am. We have students that are in New Zealand to learn English. Anyway our current one is from Germany and she's really nice, but she's only been in the country for a few days so her internal clocks still a bit out of whack. Anyway, she wakes up at 4 reads her book, finishes it, and is really bored. Now, we told her that she is welcome, if she can't sleep to make herself a drink, so she did. Only she didn't know where the light switch was. Instead she got the garage door opener. Guess who sleeps in the room next to the garage? I wake up to the sound of the garage door going up. I think nothing of it, my Dad usually lets the dog out before I get up, so I roll over with every intention of going back to sleep. The door goes down. And up again. At this stage I notice that the alarm clock says 5:39am. Then I realize that the dog probably went out. She did. I had to spend the next 20mins looking for her. I didn't get any more sleep after that. My bus was late again. I mixed up my lectures. I didn't think that it looked like it was going to be Philosophy - it was computer science. 10mins later I realized I was supposed to be in Pschology. I keep telling myself that it can't possible be any worse . Can't wait for tomorrow. -Kazzy

X5-905 here,
See, certain things like that are enough to make you want to quit school. I already don't like school, and if that happened to me, I'd be gone--like I am now. Peace. I'm out
X5-905 out.

That has to suck. But you can make it through. Just keep at it and luck will have to turn around eventually.

Good Arg! this time. I joined the uni fencing club. It's something I've never done b4 but always wanted too, and a friend of mine convinced me to sign up so I did (can you believe that affter all the work she ptu into convincing me to go, she decided that she couldn't be bothered tonight?). It was so cool. I mean come on - swords! It was fun, although I'm going to feel it tomorrow morning. ;D ;D ;D -Kazzy

X5-905 here,
I was never one for sword fights. They take too long. Just give me a gun--or a lead pipe. Those are always fun. Peace out.

Anyway, today right...
on Wednesdays I have to get up before 6am (travel and stuff - buses in this city are the worst) to make it to the uni before eight (and yes I have to go because if I don't go to this particular class it could affect my final grade), so I set my alarm make sure it's loud enough (otherwise I turn it off in my sleep), so I can get up, take a long enough shower and drink enough coffee that I can be semi-awake for class.
I dunno, maybe I didn't set the clock loud enough, or it didn't go off. Anyway, I wake up at 7:40, as my mum yells down the stairs, because they've finally figured out that I might not have gotten up yet.
Seven minutes later I rush out of the house, praying that I have the right text books and I look reasonably ok. (I got dressed before I put my contacts in, this morning). I'm lucky dad didn't have a job until mid morning and he drove me in. I appeared at the door to my class, probably looking like a wirlwind and 15mins late (I think - I discovered my watch stopped around about the same time I ran out the door).
I must ask myself, am I being punished?
Disclaimer: Kazzy would just like to add that she hopes none of her experiences put anyone off university or college or whatever, it's a blast - she wouldn't miss it for the world ;D

No, of course not. It's just one lo-ong party. Like today, for example. My bus ride is supposed to take 25-30 mins. 40 mins on a bad day. This morning it took an hour. And I had another one of those this-class counts-toward-your-final-marks thing. And for these ones they reserve the right to refuse you entrence if you arrive and they think you won't catch up on the class, coz you've missed to much. So I had to go see the HOD and get an exemption. Actually she was really nice about it. Only I have to go in tomorrow, whihc sucks coz I deliberatly arranged my schedule (well to a certain extent) so that I didn't have to go in on Fridays. But hey when it boils down to it all I'd rather have the marks at the end of the day. And no uni isn't that bad. It's great - for instance this semester, like I said, I get Fridays off (usually). It is so much better than high school ever was. And come on, I get to do fencing. With swords! And a friend of mine turn 19 on Sunday so PARTY! (really)Also today my Philosophy lecture was really boring (there is only so much meta-ethics a person can take!) so a friend of mine(the b-day girl actually), who was sitting next to me, invented her own language. That was kind of funny. Philosophy actually a good class to take coz if you turn in the essays and go to the exam, no-one will notice if you go to classes or not. And they give you the lectures in a nice little booklet at the beginning of the semester. Honestly it must seem like I hate uni, but really, I love it.
