Pairing: Alec and Max

Summary: Max needs has a little problem and Alec might be the one to
help her.
A Cry For Help
Alec cam through the window silently observing the person in front of him. He knew she would react badly to his presence but he just couldn't stay away from her. He didn't know why he wanted her so badly. What was it about this girl that made him crave for her like that.
"- Alec i told you to stay away from me!" says Max as she turns around to look at him with those big brown eyes that could drown you each time you looked into them.
"- I want to... thank you... for what you did for me and give you the money i owe you. I was sure as hell that you would've left me there to die to get the cure to the virus..."
"- SHUT UP!!!" Interrupted Max "- You blew up the only chance i had with Logan. How could you!?! It's all you're fault that i'll never be able to touch him!!!!"
She knew deep down inside that she wasn't being fair. The thing is that she was a little happy that she didn't get the cure. In some sort of way, she knew she didn't really love Logan like a lover. She knew she needed someone of her own kind as strong as her, maybe even stronger, to make her truly happy. Logan was just to normal and boring. She felt guilty cause she was thinking that way so she was putting all her anger on alec. The worst in this was that it's natural that he did what he did. It was survival after all. Wouldn't she have done the same? Well.... maybe she would've thought
of a better idea before trying to kill people but Alec wasn't like her. he'd been train to kill in Manticore so he did what he was taught. Tha main reason of her anger was because he tried to kill HER. She liked him a LOT and he almost killed her... She could deny it all she wanted but she knew she loved him. She finnally admited it to hersel. She couldn't lie to herself like that anymore. She loved Alec.
Alec was looking at her face, watching all the mixed emotions she had. He didn't want to upset her but he had to see her! She was like a drug to him. If he wasn't near her he'd go crazy.
"- Go away and don't come back" Said Max in a cold voice. It almost broke his heart to see her that way. So he decided he'd give her what she wanted. He turned around and was about to reach the window when he heard a whisper... One that no human could've heard it.
**Oh noooo...**
He turned his head to look at Max to check what was wrong when he saw her starting to skahe and looking feverish.
*f**k* He thought * She's having a seizure*
"- Max... Max are you okay?" *What a dumb question X5-949 you're so stupid. Of course she's not okay she's having a goddamn seizure.*
He was at her side in an heartbeat catching her as she was about to fall.
"- I...I..need... tryptophan...now..."
He got up and ran more then walked throught the entire place. He finally found it. He ran back to Max and gave her the bottle. She took the pills and leaned back against him, still shaking. He was carressing her hair and her back to calm her down.
"- Alec stay with me, please don't leave me!!"
"- I'm here. I'm not going anywhere."
"- I'm sorry for yelling at you. I didn't mean to. I just don't
know what to think anymore... I used to love Logan. He meant everything to me, but you had to come along and mess everything up. I'm not supposed to even like you Alec! And the thing is that i just can't stop thinking about you. *sighs*
"- Max..."
"- No! Don't tell me... I know you don't like me and i don't want to hear you say it. You stayed you're whole life in Manticore. And what i remember of the place is that they teach you how to NOT feel. It's phony sentimentality as Zack always said..."
"- Max listen to me! I do like you, i don't know why. And god knows that i tried hard to tell myself that i didn't. You're right i have been taught how to have no feelings at all, it doesn't mean i can't. You could teach me. And remember i'm an X5 too. We are the only X's who has the capacity to love, hate, be independant..."
"- Let's just take our time, we should start by being friends, then later when we really think we're up to it, our relationship could go to an whole new level. Right now we can't, it's to early and there's to many obstacles."
"- It's fine by me soldier"
He got up and held out his hand to help her get up. She took it with no hesitation and they went outside and walked all around town talking about nothing and everything, hand in hand. For the moment,they we're only getting to know each other but later on the're love would be the greatest.
